Something is happening in El Paso and still trying to sort it all out. Looks like starting PG Jordan Lathon definitely gone, while his backup Nigel Hawkins has reconsidered entering the transfer portal. Also reported that freshman Deon Stroud considering a transfer.

(BTW, had forgotten that Lathon - a 2018 top 150 recruit - originally signed with the Big Ten’s Northwestern but had his scholarship offer rescinded by the school.)

The method of these rankings makes absolutely no sense to me.
I still don’t think they have enough data yet, I think it starts being more accurate come February.

It’s not just about whether we win or not. We also had teams we’ve played lose games this week.
I get that, but still…
I think that is the point. It facilitates putting a 14-15 ACC team into the NCAAs rather than a 22-9 C-USA team, because the ACC team played (and lost to) a better schedule.
That may be true in the long run, but didn’t play out that way in year 1 (ask NCSU’s fans). Still, the SoCo should’ve had more representation.
