I just want us to show the fire during the game and not after the game.
North Texas has often talked a ton of smack against us. Donât know if they started it this time, but it wouldnât surprise me. Itâs a shame we keep playing so poorly against them, as the best way to shut up people like that is to beat them. As long as they keep beating us, that will probably continue.
Wasnât able to watch this one, but there seems to be a problem with our 3-pt defense (captain obvious). For those that watched, were they just getting a bunch of open looks from 3? Sometimes a hot shooter beats good defense, but weâve now seen an entire team light the Niners up, followed by another game in which multiple players light us up. Granted that those two guards are shooting a good percentage this season (around 40 - 45%), but thatâs clearly a pattern.
I thought we used to play pretty good 3-pt defense past seasons under Sanchez. We would seem to have the athletes to cover out to the 3 pt line this year. Wonder whatâs going wrong.
They had one guy, McBride or something like that, just parking his ass on the baseline and taking uncontested 3s and burying them. Could have sworn he made 3 to start each half, but the box score says Madea⌠err Tyler Perry and him each made 5. McBride made his first, and and after that it just became a confidence snowball for Perry. The two of them were 10-15 from 3 - basically half of NTâs points. In a low scoring game, that was the decider.
