Our CUSA brethren arenโ€™t making the league look any better by scheduling all those NAIA, D2 and D3 teams.

Especially UAB and WKU, both of which are ostensibly playing for the league title or an at large. They shouldnโ€™t be wasting time on DIII schools.

Looks like CUSA is going to be weak again this year.Another one bid year in the NCAA for CUSA. 2023 canโ€™t get here fast enough.

Problem is we are part of the problem. Who cares how many bids a league gets if we never win enough to complain about not getting one?

Yeah. Worked well in CUSA 1.0, but was a disaster in A10.

We were the disaster in the A-10. At large bids were available.

Anyway, four from C-USA in top 100 of the latest NET:

34 UAB
88 LA Tech
95 North Texas
100 Middle Tennessee

Of course, at this point, only the Blazers seem to have a shot numbers-wise at an at large should another team get the auto bid.

The real takeaway is we are so irrelevant no one bothered to put Ron in the list. I just canโ€™t even anymore. I think most people who know I pull for charlotte and only charlotte in college pity me like a foolish child.

Weโ€™re irrelevant & they probably looked at Ronโ€™s contract & thought they are not likely to fire him with that many years left. Thanks Mike.

I would say that C-USA is irrelevant on a list like that, otherwise Rick Stansbury - and perhaps Jeff Jones - would be on it.

What is driving Charlotteโ€™s low NET ranking? Most of the teams they beat are rank higher. The only thing that I can think of is their wins were close wins, but their losses were by double digits. Does margin of victory/loss play that much of a role?

Not germane to any conversation, but randomly just came across this pic I took of my TV last January, that I was sharing with an alum. Ugh.

I remember that game. Their coach was literally micโ€™d up and talking to the TV crew live during the first half. It was embarrassing and hilarious at the same time.
