clt is watching the aac championship. Where is the mini jeep?
If we had beaten ODU, how satisfied would you have been with this as our bowl destination and opponent?
Probably best to forego the analysis of whether we would win the game.
We should all be making bowl travel arrangements right now
Yeah. Iâm guessing weâd be in the Myrtle Beach Bowl. Perfect. Now Iâm even more pissed, disappointed and disgusted.
If you really want to make bowl arrangements, pick the bowl you wanted us to go to, get a room and explore that area. Best news is we are guaranteed not to lose so you can enjoy your trip. I think you should pick the Hawaii Bowl
clt took Charlotte 21 bowl money and purchased more stocks
And donated to the grand slam club
Why would CUSA put UTSA against the runner-up of the Mountain West when they could have placed them against a higher ranked BYU?
Did UTSA have any say? Did they pick a cheap trip to Frisco rather than go to Shreveport?
Frisco. The home of the FCS championship. Doesnât sound like a newer team would want that connection being made.
Probably ticket sales. The Frisco bowl is in Texas. UTSA will probably sell out their allotment and then some.
This, the bowls choose. UAB should travel well to the Independence Bowl too.
Itâs frustrating and sad that eight, EIGHT!, Cusa teams are bowling and weâre not one of them.
Yeah they had a pretty dreadful start, but fortunately for them had a good basketball team around that time, so at least their fan had something to be excited about.

Iâll just leave this here.
A large market may have put us in the AAC but only on-field performance will get us bowl invites and championships. Itâs past time this program EARNS something. We canât blame Judy, Phil, Lambert or Covid this year. Starting 4-2 and missing a bowl is ridiculous.
The fact that an unnamed mountain school is still doubling us in wins and attendance ought to light a fire under somebodyâs rear end. A new conference just means more losses until we right our own ship.
Sorry for the saltiness, but itâs a long damn time until next September.
Let ODU have their little schoolyard moment. It is just amazing how every school in CUSA, AAC and SBU give everyone the benefit of the doubt except for Charlotte. Either we are really that bad or there is a bit of jealousy (maybe not on winning records) but on possible trajectories. Let them all gloat and we will just have to see where the cards fall moving forward. Either we continue to be the whipping boy in football and basketball, no matter the conference, which will continue to decrease fan involvement; OR we actually step up and act like a real program and produce wins, pay $$ for good coaches, grab big $$ donors and gets fans excited. If not, F it.
I just find it odd to be called a bottom-feeder by a fan of a program that doesnât have a single thing of significance to the average college sports fan outside of a tragedy.
Glass houses.
And yes, I know they won 2 I-AA championships in the early 90âs. That doesnât mean anything in FBS.
We have been selected to the AAC after 15 straight shit years in BB and only one good year in football. People get tired of us being invited and pushed forward based on potential and never accomplishing anything. I can not argue with them and I am also tired of the fake it till you make it / potential/ diamond in the rough / growing market/ airport nearby/ etc.etc.etc.narrative we are always falling back on. Itâs like the kid that looks the part but sucks always getting picked first to play ball. Itâs time to win and earn our place.
Well, since the next step is literally a P5 conference or permanent AAC membership I think youâll not have to worry about going further on off-the-field/court factors going forward.
Weâve maxed out on non-performance potential.
Iâm not happy with our results as of today and no true Niner fan should be, but being categorized as a bottom feeder is a bit out of place. One can equally argue that every P5 and G5 conference has 1/4 to 1/2 (in general) of their teams that have always been bottom feeders. Not saying that Iâm proud of being in that elusive group, however there are more unsuccessful programs than there are successful ones and most of the ones flapping their jaws on those forums have been on the wrong side of the equations many more times than they have been on the right side. So again, let them trash talk while they can and letâs see how many âsuccessfulâ seasons they consistently have in the future. Congrats on your .500 season by going to the Redneck Rivera Bowl. This is a good reason why going to a bowl doesnât mean much anymore since a 6-6 season, and for some, even a 5-7 season can be rewarded with a bowl. No team, including us should be rewarded for a âmehâ season.
