I love RW, but I think we outsmarted ourselves today. You HAVE to get the first win against #8. This is the only thing that with certainty would KILL us in the eyes of the seeding committee. Winning today and losing to ODU tomorrow wouldn’t kill us…this forces us to win out most likely.

You are like the opposite of a bandwagon fan. Bandwagon fans come around when the team is winning. You only come around and post when the team is losing. Just look at the threads. It’s like you enjoy it. Sad.

I see your point, but I’m fine with Giesting starting. I thought he would give us as good of a chance to win as anyone on our staff. He was one of our best bullpen arms and he earned his starting spot a few weeks ago. He did fine today too. As of right now before the 9th, we have only scored 2 runs. That is the story so far.
I guess we should of seen Gietsing starting with the rotation from last weekend. I just prefer you start your best in Gm 1. On the plus side, if the score holds, better to have Bryce still available than not available.
I agree-----sort of…but falling behind like we did puts additional pressure on your bats. We had to expect we weren’t going to have a huge offensive day against Brown if we are honest. If anything, that would make me want to limit their bats as much as possible. To me, that doesn’t lend itself to starting a guy with 3 starts all year. Not to mention, he wasn’t good out of the gate last time out.
Looks like the ump is ready for the game to end.

Hard to win when you only score two runs on four hits.Have to just tip your hat to their starter and come out knocking the cover off the ball tomorrow.

I love this team, but we dig ourselves a hole by putting guys on, BB and HBP. Walked 6 today and 1 HBP. Three or four of those guys came around to score. We faced two of the best pitches in the league and couldn’t put anything together. Forget about this one and win against FAU.

Yep, MT just pitched their best guys against us. ODU will probably kill the ones they throw tomorrow.
I don’t know about the bandwagon, but it is hard to be anything other than disappointed by the outing today. Not because good teams don’t lose sometimes, but because of what this loss costs those guys that have worked so hard, and done so well this season. They can still turn it around in this tournament, but the odds are long.

I guarantee they will…the good thing about this is WHEN we beat FAU tomorrow morning, we will likely then get a revenge shot at MT on Friday.
