After 10 minutes in the first quarter Wiley was pretty badly injured. His right ankle was dislocated. They popped it back in place (partially) on the field. He got a free ride in the golf cart back to the Patterson Football Center and it was determined he need further medical attention. He was transported to a Methodist Hospital Medical facility along with the team orthopedic doctor. It was determined that he broke his Tibia and pulled, dislocated or stretched everything in his leg and foot. He is back at his Houston home and resting not so comfortably. He will be going to the Patterson Center for team doctor treatment until the swelling goes down enough for surgery. This injury definitely ends his 2021 football playing.โ
Now that explains the point spread. Was wondering how in the hell we could be favored against anyone after 2 shellackings in back to back weeks where we have yet to score in the 2nd half in what is now coming up on 3 weeks.

Yep. The spread seems less shocking now. As for Chris, a little more uncertainty put out there by coach continues the gambit. Not unexpected, just hope Chris is really ready to go.

Before anyone gets excited about this game, someone post our record against backup QBs starting against us.
Iโm pretty sure itโs not good. I have too many memories about getting smoked by them. Itโs footballโs version of how every guard on opposing basketball teams has their career shooting day against us.

Any time we ever exceeded 15,314 it was a standing room crowd. NC A&T had us just over 18,600.
