2022-23 College Basketball šŸ€

Based upon some of the box scores I’ve seen, that might have been for 1 game or last year’s average. It seemed that most games I looked at this year, he was low single digits for both, poor shooting percentage and starting but not playing starters minutes.

I had hoped he would have come back home last year, so I kept checking on him, especially with Louisville becoming a dumpster fire, hoping that maybe he’d transfer in for next year. But his numbers this year haven’t been good.

So I’d welcome him home, but probably wouldn’t put him in that missing piece category.

I am not sure Ron would know what to do with a missing piece if he had one - in fact it looks like Maryland got a missing piece who actually was here.

He is 43% from the field and 43% from behind the arc. He has had a very up and down season. Some double doubles and some 2 pt 4 rbs nights.

At the end of the day he is a 6’9" player with Charlotte connection who has talent. I would love to get him here.

Would be nice to have another legacy to join Brice and Nik.

Hell, I just hope we keep Brice

Sounds perfect for Ron’s offense. But seriously we should take him in a heartbeat if he ever shows interest in coming to Charlotte. We haven’t had a player with his size & skill set since Ron has been here. I’m beginning to think that is by design.

This is a good point - for college basketball fans - March begins today. Games all have significant weight (season enders for many programs).

Also anything on during daytime to stave off the workday drudgery is fine by me.

The next week is the best week of college hoops. The smaller conference tourneys are awesome

I agree but Lunardi said on fnz this morning that they ā€œstealā€ ncaa bids from larger conferences.
Arrogant and elitist ass holes.

I cannot stand that particular thought process or the language. No one is ā€œstealingā€ anything. You earn it or you don’t. End of discussion.

It’s actually the opposite to me. A few years ago the SoCon by all rights shoulda had at least 3 teams in just got the auto bid

Teams should be held to how they performed vs what was available to them to schedule. A team in a smaller league god 30-2 or whatever and then loses their conference final should be in. All they did was beat nearly everyone on their schedule. They deserve to be in not the 16-14 P5 program just because the P5 guys lost to better competition. Bottom line is they couldnt win their games. I hate this idea well the smaller conferences should test themselves more when the P5s often won’t play them. Then the P5 guys say look they didn’t play anyone. It’s a load of crap.

If I was in control.
Have to have a winning conference record to get in.
All the play in games are the last ones into the tournament - no auto qualifiers should have to play in. They already played in.

I like those 3 rules.

clt says it really is the lowly sunbelt

Greg Sankey will find a way to eliminate non P-5 leagues from getting automatic bids. That’s next on his quest to make college sports only for certain teams.

With all due respect, he played way more games (83 vs 144), and had the aid of the 3 ball. I’m kinda glad he didnt.

Missed that three pointer, huh.
Well…ball don’t lie.

Probably the end for Jeff Jones at ODU. Ten seasons with just two that were losing but only one NCAAT appearance. Pretty embarrassing loss as the Monarchs were going for 20th win.

Didnt we not
make a conference tourney a couple of times?? What was the reasoning behind not including everyone in the Conference tourney?
