I thought the NCAA Transformation Committee set an expansion cap of 25%? Either way too much. Actually think they should go back to 64.
I donât hate it - I would just make sure any expanded tournament comes with all conf tournament winners getting a higher seed or playing first round game on home floor - something that maintains the weight of winning those things.

SEC did jack sh## in this tournament and instead racked up most of its units from getting more bids than they deserved (aka the defacto status for the B1G).
Thatâs what all this bubble b.s. is about and why âG5â schools get left out. Itâs about keeping the units with the power conferences. Keeping the money there.
Whatâs even more f###d up is IIRC the units used to double every round. You got 1 for a 1st round win, 2 more for round of 32, 4 more for sweet 16, etc. Based on FAUs 5 units, that doesnât appear to be the case anymore. Must have been too many Cinderellas in the Final Four âstealingâ exponential units from power conferences whom those units ârightfullyâ belonged to. So they reweighed it to where itâs about bids more than advancement. F##ing dickheads. All of them.
The power 6 leagues per the chart above are taking home $150M of $222M payouts despite doing f##kall in the tournament.

Look at the box score. Wisconsin went on a out a 10 minute scoreless drought late in the 2nd half.
