My contribution is limited, a reflection of limited funds and time, I attend basketball and football occasionally, donate annually, and buy merchandise when available, and as alumni we should contribute, as I stated on previous threads, facilities are an arms race and it helps in recruiting, and we as alumni need to do our part to fund the process, but each of us have different levels of time and money that we can contribute, but as a fan base we can set the tone as far as tolerance for the standards and vision for our program, and force ADs to make decisions than we deem suitable for where we expect to be as an athletic program, and that includes criticism and withholding support ( financial/attendance ) if necessary, it does not make us less dedicated or an inferior fan to be openly critical of our shortcoming as a program, this is how we as a fan base can bring about the necessary changes to make us a more competitive program

We arenโ€™t saying different things. Lord knows I have no issue with being critical and we need to hold leadership accountable when appropriate. I know we all have limited time and budgets. I have two little girls, married, work a full time job and have a side business and have hobbies outside of the Niners. I do though prioritize Niner events, not always over everything, but often sacrificing other experiences or opportunities to support this program. That is just my personal choice and I know not everyone can or wants to do that.

Be critical all ya want, but stop for a second and think is there a logical explanation for whatever it is you are upset about. The covid impact to the team and the Chancellor stopping the master plan work are two good examples where the fanbase was upset, but those things happened for a logical valid reason.

All I know is for us to get to where we want to be we need more people more funds and more resources. Withholding donations or not attending in protest rarely helps with long term goals of being a more competitive program though. This AD knows that winning is paramount already. You arenโ€™t telling them anything they didnโ€™t already know. This AD experience is from Florida and Fuller is Tenn and Syracuse. They know they have to win.

After the Coppin st game Iโ€™m looking forward to seeing what the team does. I want nothing more than to be wrong on Ron. I want Ron to make the extension look brilliant not stupid. I will be at as many games as possible. If threadgill can keep up that production and Brice and Braz can fill those roles we will have a solid team because I know Kalifa will step up as the season goes. Those 4 can win us a lot of games. If half way through the season we have a losing record then I will change my tune, but for now lets go win. LFG9rs

Davidson looking like a middle of the pack A-10 team so far vs Wright State. As with Guilford on Monday, leaving points at the FT line. Also shooting poorly from 3 and not really playing any D. Definitely miss the 42 ppg etc provided last season by the now departed Brajkovic, Jones, and Lee.

And speaking of Jones, poured in 31 in his P6 debut with Stanford on opening night.

Iโ€™m thinking Coppin State will be better than they were last year. Good to see them pick up a W. Other night was rough for them.

Looking over Detroit Mercy vs BC recap and see that the Eagles closed on a 7-0 run to rally for the win.

(And speaking of Detroit, see that Michigan trails Eastern Michigan late first half in a neutral site game in the Motor City.)
