We have 22 DBs on the Spring Roster. I hope like hell we have a DC who can find 5 of them that can function as a starting caliber unit.
We have 17 DL on the roster, but that includes guys like Wardlow who I didn’t think have any eligibility remaining. Half of them didn’t play any significant snaps last year either, on an underperforming group. We only really brought in Saddiq. I am not very excited about this part of the roster for next year. I think it is going to continue to be a glaring weakness.
And worse yet, we only have 8 LBs on the roster, after the huge loss of Tyler Murray. Bemah, Boykins, and Sharpe are the only names I even recognize. This is another weak unit.
I want to be more positive about our defense for next season, but unless we add some late signees / transfers, I think we are going to again be left hoping we can win shootouts.
All we can hope for is a new scheme makes them play above their talent…
The season opener is Thursday night 9/1 which frees up Labor Day weekend to go somewhere if you’d like.

Our WRs dominating practice feels like a catch-22 given the second half of last season.
Yeah, that report is not encouraging. We know DuBose can play.
I think that the defense will HOPEFULLY get better as spring practice progresses. I would expect the offense to dominate at first. Our defense was very broken last season, it will take a while for changes and improvements to show up on the field. I am pulling like crazy for the new DC to make an impact. Time will tell.

My thoughts as well. Can’t expect the D, that wasn’t good and gave up a few key players to stand out on day one. Changes take some time to get going.

With Marshall obtaining a temporary restraining order vs C-USA, seems inevitable that the Herd (Oct 29th) and ODU (Oct 15th) will need to be replaced on the conference schedule.

If you call in to renew season tickets do the same fees apply? Im getting like 100 bucks in fees online
$100? What all are you getting? My fees for 3 FSL seats, 1 Gen Adm seat, 1 parking pass and USC tickets came to $21
Ok looks like I overestimated at quick glance but for mine with parking and adding 4 USC tickets is $48 in fees. Just seems a bit excessive but oh well
