Charlotte plays LaTech at 1:30 ET on Wednesday afternoon. All of the games will be on ESPN+ except the Championship game that will be on CBS Sports Network.
Of course we have to play the team we just struggled against.

We got this. The first game will be telling. If we beat La Tech (which we can), I have a feeling we’ll roll to the final. But we HAVE to win that first game.

I think Southern Miss is the only team capable of coming back from losing the first game (which they won’t) and winning the tournament.
I’m glad we aren’t involved in the 4th game on Wednesday. Over under on finish time will be midnight.
Of course, we don’t have to worry about weather delays in Hattiesburg, now do we?

I wouldn’t be surprised if we went the same route as we did last week at South Carolina. Colby Bruce opening and a starter follows after 2-3 innings. Next guy in depends on how the game is going.
Hale could open again and give way to Goose. That worked out well on Thursday. Hale is also a threat to go deep and save some arms for the rest of the tourney. He did that against MTSU, UAB, and Rice in recent weeks.
I vote Hale.
We just gotta keep Young of the bases and make sure Corona hits with bases empty.
Tough task for sure.

Can’t recall the year - but the Cheats didn’t even qualify for the ACC Tournament and still got an at-large, you know, because it’s P5…but yeah, win this thing and knock one of those chumps out.

Conference bias is behind my previous reasoning that we need to win the upcoming tournament in Mississippi. My thinking was actually that CUSA would only get 3 bids while deserving more. I make it a point to not follow the ACC, but 11 bids seems too many.
I’m currently watching the AAC Tournament which is being played in Clearwater, Fla. Doesn’t that sound much better than going to Ruston or Hattiesburg???
