It seems like every time we bring in a new pitcher with runners on, the new pitcher screws the old one’s ERA. Well, Fudge. We had this game and we’re letting it get away.

God I love my NINERS, but damn it seems like we purposely try not to make it past the regular season in all of our sports. We are in a conference that doesn’t get any love anyway, and constantly pulling a NINER doesn’t help in the equation of post season play. These guys have the bats to pull this out, but we always make it so DAMN hard.
I know Hale was struggling to throw strikes, but bringing in a carbon copy pitcher doesn’t make alot of sense.
Give em a different look coach.
Welp, looks like we’re done now. Rossi was the wrong move in hindsight. Fire is gone from the team on defense. ODU is making plays now and we aren’t. This team was way worse than the sum of its parts. We’ll be back in it next year I think.
That phrase should be part of the new Niner creed - “Wait until next year, you’ll see”
From an an optimistic perspective, I guess we don’t have to get our hopes all worked up for post season play by playing well in the CUSA tourney, just to have the NCAA give us the middle finger and have us even more pissed off. Again, we have the bats to run them back to VA, but they better get hot now.
Big inning for us here, with Knight and then the top of the order up. Gotta get something on the board here.

Strikeouts not helping.
Yeah…this team doesn’t seem to handle “in game” adversity very well.
Hartline pitched 1 inning against us this year and gave up 6 runs in that inning.
F@#k me. Just miss a 3-run HR and instead get into a double play. Seems like everything working against us this game.
We have threatened it seems just about every inning but have squat to show for it.
Yeah, 1 run after making 3 look easy in the first. Not going to get it done…this team has some Jeckyll and Hyde in it.

I don’t even blame our lack of success in sports on anyone. I truly think the NINERS are jinxed. I don’t know who we pissed off, but damn.

Glad to see Matt Brooks get in there. Gonna miss that guy. He’s a #GoldStandard person.
Wish we could have gotten Colby in. Maybe we will rally and he can get in.

Well, it was an up and down season, but it was a fun ride. Enjoyed every minute of it. Just sad that its over.

Very up and down. I think that was part of the problem with the team. When they were up, they were WAY up. When they were down, it showed in their play (like today) - I think they tanked. Like the losing streak. Also, look at our record in close games. It’s not good. And 0-6 or something in extras? This team was close to being REALLY good, but they were just missing something.
