MLB is locked out but Minor League Spring Training is getting started and we have a bunch of 49ers to watch.
Zach Jarrett is with the Orioles and will likely start with their Triple A affiliate Norfolk this season. He’s one step away from the bigs so hopefully he gets a shot sometime in 2022.
Josh Maciejewski has been up and down all of the Yankees minor league affiliates during his pro career. I’d guess he would start this season in Double A Somerset or Triple A Scranton.
Reece Hampton is looking to get back in affiliated ball and has signed with the Gastonia HoneyHunters for the 2022 season. He also made the Savanna Bananas Touring team which should be fun to follow.
Colton Laws has been battling injuries much of his pro career. He pitched a few rehab games at the end of last season for the Jays team down in Florida. Hope to see him start at Double A and go from there.
Bryce McGowan just got his feet wet professionally last season after pitching a bunch of innings for us and then getting drafted. He will likely start out at low A Fresno or High A Spokane.
Aaron McKeithan started his career for the Palm Beach Cardinals last year. He will likely start there or in High A Peoria.
Zach Jarrett was up with the big league team again today and came in to play CF from Mullins in teh 7th. Ended up getting an AB and got a base hit. He then came around to score. First big league hit and run of the spring for Zach.
He still hasn’t been assigned a team yet, but likely will start out in Norfolk again.
