2022 Week 1 - William & Mary @ Charlotte, 9/2 7:00 PM ESPN3

The Healy hire never looked good on paper. He had a losing record in FCS and really had nothing going for him other than his energy and hype. It was a huge gamble and Hill lost. It’s time to be done with this experiment and hire a real f’ing coach. Healy is going to leave this program in worse condition than he found it. Think about that. That is something we wouldn’t have thought possible when we were replacing Lambert.

I agree. I have no problem celebrating and cheering as long as the coach coaches well, recruits, and develops the recruits. Healy is the exact opposite of that though. That’s my point.

I will say this about Sanchez. He has two out of four winning seasons since he’s been here. Admittedly, a low bar but he’s won more than Healy has. That said, I don’t believe either should be Niner coaches (unless there’s a drastic change) next year.

clt says the crowd was great last nite, but the team wasn’t

I don’t like piling on Healy on a personal level. Everything I’ve seen from him makes me believe he is a good guy, a good person. And if we were winning, he’d be a helluva lotta fun.

But, damnit, I am so tired of losing. I was tired of it before he ever got here, and so I cut him some slack. That part wasn’t his fault. But he cannot leave the program in a downward trajectory heading into AAC play, and I’m terrified that is exactly what’s happening.

And Sanchez doesn’t get any slack from me anymore either. He’d better win 20 games with that :cupcake: schedule (we’re playing 30 games this season). Only I know he isn’t going to, and we are going to hear about pillars, learning and growing, and the student athlete experience.

F that. I don’t contribute my time and hard earned money to a Kumbaya session. I want Ws.

I am so, so tired of losing. And excuses.

I just don’t really care anymore. The one game I was excited about was Maryland (no more). I have already transferred my 4 seats to someone else. I just don’t see the reason to waste my few precious moments on this planet watching this kind of sh!t. I expect another blowout and over 600 yds on our sh!tshow defense. Maybe we can convert The Rich into a rugby field.

Maybe the only bright spot from the game is we saw our 3rd string QB might be able to compete. Liked him a LOT more than I did Foster instantly. I’m also big on not playing Reynolds against Maryland, save his body for a better game… any chance Williams gets the start?

Regarding saving Reynolds for a better game? Not sure any game will be better this year except for scrimmages against ourselves.

I would continue to start Williams until he shows he can’t handle it. Give him a solid week of starter preparation, game planning and practice. If he can handle it, Reynolds is a solid #2 and a starter in waiting. Make Foster #4 water boy cheer leader with a headset playing his favorite songs.

Team has no identity.
We’re not a running team…not a passing team…
not a defensive team…
we have to be hard to prepare for ! :relaxed:

They have a clear identity. They are the team on the schedule that everyone wants to play

Totally agree. Hype over substance. He hasn’t come close to the hype and I’m still waiting for him to make a sack.

Healys football philosophy is to be a power running team on offense first, control the line of scrimmage and time of possession, and play a bend but dont break 4-2-5 defense that doesnt give up big plays, especially in the passing game, but he simply does not have the talent to run his system, the offensive line isnt dominant in the running game and the defense gives up too many big plays which in turn puts the offense in a position to play catch up, he has to revamp his system to correlate with the players that he has, wide open passing attack, 4-5 wide receiver sets, and gamble on defense, blitz packages

Have we ever thrown a screen pass? A reverse? A flea flicker? How often do we blitz? Redundant questions.

Our season is over before 98% of other college football programs even played their first game.

We should throw it 30 times per game

EZU defense looks more physical than #13 nc state offense. Tale of two coaches. Never marry your second choice . Keep looking

Diaagree. Reynolds should play after Maryland game lol he’s not a #2 and should play after next weeks slaughter. Healy needs to go :100:but Reynolds deserves to play when healthy.

The freshman is my choice, but on a short leash. I like Reynolds, but he is constantly hurt and on his way out. Chances are both would get destroyed vs Maryland. If the freshman plays well somehow with that horrible holding offensive offensive line, then I say you keep playing him and develop him.
