BlueDevil Hill should fire Healey immediately!
If Healy cannot coach, then he must bring in recruits that can compete at this level and surround himself with great assistant coaches. He has failed at both. I say let him finish the year, but start making phone calls now to get a new coach in place.
Healy wonât be fired until after week 11 or 12.
I definitely donât think Healy is the answer (and tbh never did). But what do we get by firing him now? Will it really make the development of players better since we will probably keep on the same staff and just make one of them an interim until the end of the season. And is that worth the optics of firing your most successful coach mid season? Coaching candidates notice that kind of stuff. Definitely donât think heâll be here next season baring a huge turn around. But I just donât know if firing him now is the best move.
He had his only successful year with players that werenât his. Since then, Iâm wouldnât say that he has been successful at all. The portal has been shown this year as the great equalizer for G5 teams to compete. We have seemed to even fail in that area. Heâs got to go. Whatâs the worse thing that will happen; we lose all games versus going 1-11
The only time firing him mid season would make any difference is if you thought you had the answer already on the sidelines. You would do it to try to win the team back over and save the season. Problem is, we are a lock to go 0-5 now. There is no way in hell we are winning our next 2 road games.
The only success Healey has had came with Lambertâs players.
clt says Reynolds being hurt is going to get Healy fired
I think Healy is going to get Healy fired in this case.
If itâs a forgone conclusion heâs out at the end of the year, then why wait? What is there to gain?

The funny thing is, the coaching staff, prior to the season, thought they had a legit chance to win this one.
Guys⌠You have to play offense AND defense.
Thanks for attending my Ted Talk.
I think we are overreacting a bit after this Maryland game. We had to think they were going to win big with this D and our best QB out. The big problem was the W&M game.
If we had won that one we would feel a lot better about things. That being said. If we are still this inept on defense in the rest of our games (barring USC) then itâs probably going to be time to make a change at the end of the season IF we can afford it.
I would NOT fire Healy during the year. Thereâs nothing positive that comes from that.
Sun Belt livinâ large todayâŚhow âbout them boys from Boone?
We have been left in the dust.
Club Lit has officially been shut down!
I donât agree at all with firing him at the end of the season. Ask how that worked for our defense using that type of approach. We fâed around until it was too late and it has, in my opinion, drastically impacted our defense this season. At some point, someone is going to have be the adult in the room and make the call. Again, explain to me how it is going to hurt removing him or demoting him. The players are giving up and probably looking at portal options; the fans are done; we are setting up next season to be a total waste. Just make the call and if it doesnât work in our favor next season (then we just keep practicing the definition of insanity)
Iâm not sure we are deserving of being in any conference. We should just move to a DII independent.
Eyes tell a different story.
Why would you want to settle for Spencer?
We need to aim higher .
I agree. Spencer may be an upgrade, but we need to think bigger.
