2022 Week 4 Charlotte @ South Carolina 7:30 PM ESPNU

I think 4 wins is going to be the imaginary benchmark if he goes or not, if he can get 4 wins, probably UTEP, FIU and maybe LATECH I think Hill will give him another year, if he only win’s 1 or 2 more he should be fired… I think he should be fired no matter how the season finishes… but they don’t ask me and after Hill kept Sanchez I don’t have any faith that Hill will get rid of him after 3 season.

Oof, that’s embarrassing.

I could care less about stadium expansion if we don’t have a decent coaching staff that can build a program. That’s putting the cart in front of the horse.

Stadium expansion is just a piece of the puzzle. It’s not before or after, it’s just a part. Hiring the right coach is a part of it, recruiting well is part of it, fans coming out and donating is part of it. Just a big puzzle with parts and for us to get where we want to be it’s gonna take all the parts.

I understand that and I know it needs to happen. I just don’t want to be forced to go thru another year of slick Willy coaching this team to keep from paying a buyout, while at the same time trying to raise $100 million for facilities upgrades & stadium expansion. Healy has no clue how to fix this program & that is clear to pretty much everyone at this point. If he is still here next season it will be because of his buyout & nothing else. We’re an embarrassing college football joke right now. We need to hire an adult to get this program headed in the right direction & the funds for that should be a much higher priority than the funds for stadium expansion. Fixing football is an urgent need.

Well luckily the source of those funds is typically pretty different. The folks donating millions to have their name on something are a different pool than the cash for a buyout.

FWIW I don’t think the buy out would stop us from moving on if that is what the performance says we need to do.

If recruits are laughing at us and players in the locker room have been lost, Healy may need to go sooner than later. Even if we go on a run to end the season, I’m out on Healy as our head coach. Its a shame the season thats being wasted with reynolds and our WR corps.

I saw ZERO quit in the team last night. I don’t think this team has quit on Coach. They do have to execute better starting with tackling. We must recruit better on O line and D line as that is where we are losing battles.
One man’s opinion.

If Sanchez can’t be fired, nobody else is getting fired. Sorry to read about the tire. It’s deflated condition is symbolic of our football and basketball hopes

At least we didn’t lose 73-0 to WKU like FIU did. My goodness that is about as bad as it gets.

Not to make light of his misfortune because having a flat away from home sucks, but he got more use out of that tire than we got out of Healy and Sanchez. The tire was also not under contract and can be replaced without a buyout.

Pic of the TV after one of our TDs. Just me and some really close friends.

My fear is that Hill is focusing more on Evergreen & worrying about fixing our on court & field performance down the road. I understand we will be depending on large donors, who aren’t necessarily fans, for stadium expansion but if they hope to get any donations from everyday fans like us they have to fix the on field stuff. It’s getting to the point of being embarrassing & it’s not nearly as much about wins & losses as it is about the way we look in our losses. And our coach bragging about his halftime celebration black eye when he should have been working on actual halftime coaching adjustments. The Sanchez situation is helping to fuel my fears. I’m really worried Hill’s priorities are much different than the everday fan’s priorities.

If you follow Mike on social media you’ll see he has two small children, just bought a new house, seems to attend all the big concerts that come to Charlotte, and spends time at his vacation home in Blowing Rock. I’ve seen nothing about Evergreen recently so I wouldn’t say he is overly focused on it.

Don’t get too comfortable with our WR corps because they will probably be someone else’s corp next season.

Dubose may be drafted and Tucker is done with eligibility right? But yes I agree, otherwise I’d find it hard to imagine they stick around. However, we will always be a come from behind throwing team so maybe not overly bad to a WR already here. It’ll be interesting to see if Elijah Spencer stays.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Spencer transfers. Dubose has been projected as a 2nd rounder in the NFL draft so if that holds up he would be crazy to stay. The cupboard is going to be pretty bare for whoever is coach next season. We could have a terrible defense and offense after we lose Reynolds and some of this WR core.

Hope the new coach can pull in a lot of transfers next year

We can only hope to have a game-day atmosphere 25% of what I saw in SC. RV’s that rivaled the Madden Cruiser and even though I was wearing green, everyone I visited, was offered a pop or something nosh on. Good people in the stands as well. Even got invited to a Cockaboose for more southern hospitality, that we could not decline. Didn’t get egged once. That’s a plus. As for the game, it was a nice half but I don’t think we covered and I hope everyone took the over. Looking forward to a trip to Gainesville next year to see a game at the swamp and maybe one @ U of M. At least I don’t have to worry about traveling to Shreveport LA this year for the Blue Bonnet Bowl or whatever that thing is called.

Wow…just saw the video clip from the sideline reporter  I get Will is who he is (which is overly positive no matter what) but this is just crazy. Overall the game ended up the way I expected. I have been on the fence about a midseason firing but I also hadn’t heard about locker room issues or the recruits laughing at us. My measuring stick remains 6 wins. Anything less and Will needs to go.
