Just to stir it up, maybe he would come back if Fearne is hired.
Wow??
Iāve wondered the same
Brice already with 11 pts at halftime to lead the Huskers at Rutgers, so back to his usual double digit scoring output.
100% correct. Had seats in row 1 right behind the bench and you could see it on almost every players face. Would come off the court and lock eyes with another guy on the bench and the look they had was, āAināt no pleasing this MFer, make one mistake and youāre sitting.ā As an old broke down athlete I can tell thereās no way to succeed in a system like that. You canāt play being afraid to make a mistake, itās part of the game.
I saw many times under loser Ron that when a player got hot and scored, he would be jerked and sat on the bench. Didnāt really realize it at the time, but now feel that the player was benched simply because they did not run the pass 20 times and wait for the clock to run down before shooting.
Obvious that it is not Fearneās philosphy
Oh hell yeah. It was more important to that moron to ārun a systemā than it was to actually score the ball. So glad heās gone
I felt like the breakout games Brice had last year were more him flipping the bird to Ron than because Ron said keep shooting.
I commented just before the CBI started, that we would see who was planning on leaving by who bucked his system down thereā¦and lo and beholdā¦Brice & Aly !
Thats why we won the ācoveted prizeā!
I see the haters and trolls are back in full force. You do know why your windshield is much bigger than your rear view mirror?
Ron sucked ass. This team with him coaching would be terrible. Heās a bad coach and a bad person with how he left. F him.
Wait, you really think what Ron did to us is respectable⦠seriously??
Heās gone. Letās all let it go.
The more you look back the slower you move forward.
Agreed - Ron should lose all support even from the most staunch supporter when he abandoned his job, kids, fans, and commitments.
He was a trash coach with trash philosophy when he was here. He didnāt demand excellence from himself and he wasnāt a high ethic guy.
He was a do nothing type coach with a veneer of platitudes that people bought into as him being a good man. Everything was always the players fault. He did not own his failures at all. Iāve never heard a coach throw so many players under the bus in postgames. He also said ridiculous stuff like āI thought we scored enough to winā when we scored 59 points. He was clueless.
Anyone Who refuses to set specific goals and hold themselves accountable to that has no business leading a team. Any team, not just in sports. In business and in life.
The best leaders have a vision, a plan for how to get there, and work through the incremental steps to execute that. Ron refused to do anything except focus on hollow expressions and nonsensical rigidity in a āsystem.ā he also had no idea how to adapt to the talent he had.
He was a loser when he was here, he is absolutely not a high character guy, blaming players for his failures when he was here and then abandoning his team, and now heās gone. Time to move on. No more energy or thought should be spent on such a loser.
Letās get that North Texas thread up and rolling. Iām excited for this Saturday!! Win or lose, it is great to be playing meaningful games in Halton!!
Been a long time since weāve played meaningful games. But here we are on the precipice of being at the top of the conference. Havenāt been here in like forever. Hope weāre up to the challenge. Hope fans and students come out and rock Halton like we used to and that this gutty team deserves. LETāS FREAKING DO THIS!!
