Itās been a long time since we have been on a role like this. Letās promote our program with an expectation that good things are in front of us. Encourage your circle to attend a game.
A full Halton is electric and energizing. I call on our AD to fill Halton, no matter what it takes, for our next game. It can be done!!!
Loved the gutty win. It would have been more impressive and less stressful if weād hit more of the FTs we got. WHEW! Pattersonās three as the shot clock expired was .
I would like to see us try to find Jackson down low before Patterson drives and forces a shot. Some of his shots near the end were low %, imo. Maybe trying to draw a foul but didnāt happen on those fade always in the lane. Glad to see us battle back.
Still here, and Iām glad to see youāve been a voice of reason with some of the trolls that insist we throw money at hiring a name or " hot commodity" coach with money we donāt have and with money they donāt want to donate to pay for.
As a life long college basketball fan, I wish we could, but as part of the ābuy-inā to the AAC invite, was the commitment to the facility upgrades. With Title 9, we were already having to spend more on womenās sports by adding football. Until we meet the funding goal for the facility upgrades, we donāt have extra money to spend.
For those who think money grows on trees in Charlotte, keep in mind that most of the movers & shakers, arenāt alumni, and if theyāre making large donations, they tend to go elsewhere. Weāve lost a lot of the old guard that believed that investing in the home town university was good for the city. Iām not sure if the current leaders have that as a priority anymore.
Okay. We can double or triple the money for guys on our list, such as jmu head coach so this idea that we dont have the money is simply untrue. Also, you say "hot commodity " coach like its a bad thing. It would be a nice change to hire a proven coach
We have a proven head coach now, we just donāt know the recruiting side. There are a lot of coaches that are good with one side or the other, but not both. Bobby was a good bench coach & motivator, but not a good recruiter. Biff is a good recruiter and motivator, but Iām not sure if heās a good x & o guy. Thatās what his coordinators and staff are for.
No matter what someone has done elsewhere, does not guarantee the same results here or anywhere else. A lot depends on the staff around them. With NIL at this point in time, Iām not even sure how much the coach matters. What made college basketball so much fun back in the day, was the players played for the coach, the team and the school. Itās currently getting to the point where thatās not the case anymore.
Lost our top 2 players, by a mile btw, and heās got the guys buying in and playing hard. Got the Job when douchebag Sanchez left in JUNE. 10-7 is pretty damn good
