Alright folks, if you’re a Niner and can make it to the game, you MUST make it to the game. Chance to go top of the American, and on a big win streak. It doesn’t get bigger than 1st vs 2nd in the conference at our place. Students have begun dorm storming, printing out flyers and hanging them in every single building on campus by the time the day is over. Need the alums to do their part as well and be as loud as they were for FAU. Let’s do this thing

So far, in conference, we’ve beaten teams we should (FAU the exception of course), lost a couple we shouldn’t have OOC…the Niners were picked 13th, UNT 6th in the preseason poll…to be playing at home against a team that on paper we shouldn’t be expected to beat, for first place…doesn’t get much more meaningful.
It’s still early in conference play, but who cares. Win or lose…it’s a game that matters…that feels good. Do the Niners, for what feels like the first time in fifteen years or so, step up in a conference game and take that next step?

I want to win this - bad, but also know we are playing with house money at this point. If we come out and look prepared and ready and give them a game I will be happy. To be at this place with this team under this situation is a huge step in the right direction.
Feels like this team is slowly clawing back our relevance a few steps forward and a step back. We aren’t going to win all of them, but let’s take another step forward and win this one.

Wouldn’t we own a tiebreaker with FAU putting us in third? Or a two-way tie for second at 4-1 - Charlotte and Memphis - with FAU in fourth having lost to CLT heads up?

I think if was the end of the season, we would have the tie breaker. Looks like they are currently listing the standings based on Conf Winning %, then overall winning %.
This feels like one we’ll win so it’s an even bigger letdown later. For now, I’m just going to try to enjoy it.

Not sure about conference tie beakers. But typically head to head first but if multiple teams usually moves to other criteria. Would think overall record win % but haven’t confirmed

This seems like a jinx to me, but I guess I should share.
In my opinion, there are NO easy games in the AAC. We will have to play our best if we want the Dub.
