This is the best basketball I’ve seen a Niner team play in a long long time. Very tough and gritty. The kind of basketball that wins in March.

Nice win. We led from start to finish and kept it steady. Patterson had the defender on his butt with that wicked crossover move. That young man for UNT will not want to see the video of it.

Patterson has gotten a lot better. Doesn’t force things as much and that’s big. Jackson a stud. Igor good too. Keep it up fellas!

Holding them to 1/17 from 3pt and 32% fg was the path to winning. We played good defense and didn’t give too many open looks but glad their road hiccup finally came.

I think my favorite thing tonight was when the refs were screwing us on 50 - 50 calls and letting UNT back in the game, instead of whining or sulking, our guys buckled down and played harder.
This is the toughest team I can remember in quite some time. They battle.

Just think…Ron was so scared of this roster after losing Aly & Brice and moving into the AAC that he quit. He quit because he knew how bad this team would be under his guidance.
So far this season is a HUGE indictment on how bad Ron was as a coach. I hope that is the biggest takeaway that the college basketball world never forgets.
Hope he never gets another job…ever.

Gotta say… the Norms tavern thing seems cool but wish they could work it in without taking away the bowl seating around the top. I know it’s normally empty but rather see empty seats than pushed in bleachers.

I suspect it’s being used as a proof of concept for future renovation plans. If it’s a hit, we will probably see something permanently worked into the halton renovation plans.
