Essentially the same type thing is already in the Evergreen plan for Halton.

Norm’s Tavern wasn’t expecting that kind of turnout judging from the beer lines haha.

What a fun night. We had a good crowd in frigid weather with a NFL playoff game on at the same vs North Texas. It feels like a big step forward was taken today. Halton was buzzing those last eight minutes.

The reverse court storm looked authentic, organic and special. Kinda hope it continues and becomes a thing or a tradition here that we can make our own.

How does wrecking ball Patterson have 19 FG attempts and 0 FT attempts? Refs let them playyyyyyyyy… until they tried to not let us play in 2nd half.

Gotta admit, last night was satisfying on many levels, but I can’t get too excited only 1/3 of the way through the conference schedule. UAB is tough, Tuesday is another test…gonna savor this one a bit longer though.

What if (and this is a big if) Ron leaving was the best thing to ever happen to this program? I like what I am seeing from Fearne and this season is young but could be a special year if we continue to win at this pace. Imagine finishing top 3-4 in the conference and going deep in the conference tournament with a team that was overlooked and an interim coach! This team may even be motivated to prove Ron wrong and I hope it’s a pivotal turn for our program to get back to some level of relevancy.

What if ???
If we were 2-16 right now, Ron leaving was 100% the best thing for us !

That was going to be true regardless of who we hired. The dude was cancer for the program.

I was done with Ron and glad he is gone. What I mean is him leaving when and how he did. It put us in a bind so we really were forced to go with Fearne instead of hiring a whole new staff. That helped us keep the players we have and motivated them by giving them something to prove.

Ron leaving was always a good thing but forcing us to give Fearne a chance could be huge if it works out. That’s my point.

Yeah, as a Niner fan, I can totally see that happening but my level of optimism for basketball is higher than it’s been in a very long time!!

It’s true if Ron leaves in March and we elevate Fearne we most of us would have been less than happy.

It’s looking like once again a good basketball coach will be in spite of our athletic director, not because of him or her.

Well Mike was the one who decided to not hire in the June cycle and seeing enough in In Fearne turn the reigns over to him at least for a year, which a lot of folks were not happy with. He at least deserves credit for that.

That’s a highly optimistic take take for Hill. Who the hell could he have hired?
