Is there a cost to get in there?
That was my position too Hootie, but a lot of people were vocal that we just wasted a year by kicking it to March and that Mike should have been able to find a permanent solution and if we hired Fearne to keep this roster together it was a waste. I mean I wasnāt happy either, understood why it played out that way, but it was only because Mike didnāt let Ron go when he should have.
Just saying Mike made the right decision vs taking someone in March and gutting the roster.

People will give Hill credit for anything. He defaulted to a position and he completely lucked out. He doesnāt deserve any accolades for that. Fearne looks like he is the guy and Hill has basically nothing to do with that.
Maybe yāall should start a āfire Mike Hillā thread. 
Iām just ecstatic that Ron left on his own. Weāre not paying him like we had to pay previously fired coaches. And now weāre winning and playing a much more assertive and upbeat style with an āinterimā coach whoās got his team believing in themselves and having confidence they can play with anyone and beat people. Been a long time since Iāve felt this good about our basketball team/program.

Weāre playing entertaining basketball which is something we havent had since probably 2008, before Bobbys laat year.

Lotta golf left to playā¦we are nowhere near the back nine yet.
No doubtā¦we have had a GREAT startā¦but maintaining it throughout the season may not be realistic. 4-3 over the next seven is most likely. Anything less puts us back into the middle of the pack. 5-2 keeps us in the top 3-4.
Just not sure we can go 5-2ā¦but THAT would legitimize the start weāve had for sure.

Unless biff turns out to be a success. Ron, who extended twice, was a disaster. Houston burned him and hired healy, who was a disaster. How has he bee a good A.D.?
If you judge an AD strictly on Ws in $ sports Mike has been bad.
If you take into account all the things the AD is responsible for then Id grade Mike at a C. Failure to raise significant new money being the biggest driver of the C.
If Biff wins in the fall, Fearne finishes top 4 both of them in the AAC which Mike got us into and we break ground on facilities plan and announce some new donors thatās an A+. All of that without new donors or sponsors is a B+.
Iāve said it before - if you canāt raise money and resources the Ws, if they come, will be fleeting. Have to raise money. Period. If he canāt get it done then we need someone who can and I donāt care if football and basketball are winning.

Future App State Game at the Bank.
While two of those are in the future or in progress, heās doing things to raise the visibility of the school and programs. We need to win more and bring in new donors but heās far from failing, especially compared to Judy. He gets a strong C from me today and a B a year from now if football gets to a bowl under Biff and basketball trajectory continues on its current path.
Stadium expansion hasnāt happened yet and we have 0 clarity on when it will or if we are financially ready to. Tye nil launch has also been a disaster. Playing app at boaā¦who cares?
