The uAB loss helps the top four seeding goal at least.
Reminded me of another BS flagrant foul that helped USF win a game.
What happened to flagrant fouls being called when it is a hard foul not a touch foul. Every foul at the end of a game should be called flagrant by the way it is being called.
Exactly right
Ehhhh, we still want UAB to finish ahead of SMU
Why is that important for seeding. Donât the top 4 get the double bye?
Oh youâre talking about the tie breaker. Got it.
We got beat bad for the first time in a long time. To quote Coach Fearne we âgot our ass kicked.â Officiating was bad but doesnât help when Memphis shoots 62% in the second half and we only score 52 points. Disappointing but thankfully we havenât had many nights like tonight this season.
We need to regroup and play much better Saturday if we want to win. We got crushed on the boards tonight 38-20. Top 4 seed in conference still in our grasp. Would be nice for USF to stumble somewhere.
Path to No. 1 overall seed
Split with South Florida and finish with the same record
The next tiebreaker would be our records against the next team in standings. We both beat FAU but we beat UAB, which USF didnât.
If UAB finishes 4th, we get the tiebreaker.
SMU re-enters convo for No. 1 overall seed since they still got USF to play.
SMU is still the one that scares me
Fearne calling out our turnovers and rebounds in the post game but calling out the refs subtly as well.
Score made it look worse than it was. 8 point game with about 6 to go. Out reffed tonight and didnât have that determined look in second half.
âIf you donât understand that every game from here on out will be like this, youâre misinformed.â
Fearne post-game. Heâs such a breath of fresh air compared to Ron. Whatever happens this season, Iâm hopeful, genuinely, reasonably hopeful for the first time in over a decade.
Done with this game. Letâs go beat Tulsa Sat night!
ThisâŚhell, we pulled most of our starters just under the 4 minute mark and didnât score the last 4.5 minutes. They ended game on 13-2 run.
There were two huge momentum changers. The technical foul by our bench when we were ahead in the first half and the six point possession due to Graves foul and technical in the second half. The six-point possession took all of the air out of our sails.
Our bench got a technical? I missed that? what did our bench do?
They showed up just like Patterson.
Iâm dying to hear why we got the bench tech. Glad it happened b/c we were being railroaded at that point. However, it did not change the officiating. The bad calls continued.
Honestly when the double tech happened, we should have all known. They could have at least reviewed that, but then they couldnât have called a double tech.
ExactlyâŚthat was beyond awful.
Honestly, even that early on, I had that thought when it happened. Like, theyâre already telling us what theyâre going to do.
