I love that Fearne is mixing it up. Didnāt get to listen to the whole game, but we played 1-3-1 for a stretch in the 2nd half.
It is obvious Fearne can coach. Hate he inherited this situation. If you keep Fearne you save a lot of money that can be spent on a big time recruiter. I imagine with a 4 year deal this offense will look a lot different next year. He is forced to run Ronās leftovers systens with staff and late start.

Niners vs UCF tomorrow as the Big XII Knights beat South Dakota State 83-80.
Jackson is a big human. Needs to hit those bunnies down low. Changes everything and helps this stagnant offense so much if he can.

Not finding anything so does look like another first time meeting.
Weāve gotta think big picture. Only NIT/NCAA should have him elevated. And Iām pulling for him to accomplish that. I think weāll be an average team that wins around 17 games. But Iām not giving him the job when guys like Richey, Byington, Mike Jones, Siddle, Retreads, etcā¦ are out there.
The AAC is a big time league and we need to start acting like we belong. Not saving money to hire one recruiter. I want us to go get Bob Richey for 1.2 million. Kick the tires on Mack, Turgeon, etcā¦
Maybe I would entertain an interview if we just missed the NIT. But he would have to sell me big time that he would switch up the staff. We simply donāt have enough talent. And we are still running the slow Princeton style offense.
Iām pulling hard for him though.

The big picture to me is we will do a poverty hire again and you must weigh that hire against what Fearne is now. I am not advocating fully for Fearne until after conference play but at least I know he can coach and I am not warching another outside the box all or nothing coach trying to figure out his place for 3 years.

If Hill canāt hire a proven basketball coach at Charlotte, then he should leave the AD office ASAP. Thereās 10 to 15 quality options I can name immediately. If he canāt convince one to come to Charlotte, he should go organize the local YMCA league. Thereās Low Major success options, Mid-Major options, and P5 bounce back retreads. After talking to many in the industry, most say Charlotte needs a HC that has done and been there before. Many on the list below have.
Pulling for Fearne, but it needs to be after he leads us to the NCAA/NIT.

I think this team has decent talent. Milicic could evolve into a star. Jackson has to play more to where he isnāt missing bunnies and is in better game shape, but not many mid majors have a big man with that much talent.
Guard play and escaping those long scoring droughts will be the key to the postseason.

I agree. Itās nice to have 3 athletic bigs and we can defend a lot better vs last year with Aly. The success really comes down to our guard play. Can we get more out of Berry/Threadgill. And maybe Braswell? Someone might have mentioned that Rolf is hurt. I hope that is true, because we canāt afford to miss on Young/Rolf/Niagu. Too many potential whiffs there.
I donāt even know what Young looks like. Does he even dress for games?
