No, we never beat them. Jarvis Lang’s freshman year I think we were tied with maybe 5 minutes left to go.
We had a squad the 91-92 season that could have played with them, but Lang got hurt, so they beat us by about 15 or so on national TV. We couldn’t get it under double digits. That Duke team won the national championship, so no shame there. Hurley, Hill, Laettner, etc.

Rodney Odom missed a dunk that would have put us ahead or tied it or something along those lines and when he missed the dunk the crowd went crazy and we never recovered. Ugh
I think Bannister missed a fast break dunk that game too in a big moment. Was odd cause he could jump out of the gym

I just remember him doing it. I was pretty blitzed too and remember stumbling back to my dorm calling him Jarvis “Clang”.

Speaking of Jarvis. He was supposed to be at the tailgate for the HoF inductions and wasn’t able to make it, but said he would try to make another game. We had a bunch of other former players stop by.
