With the bye week, I started thinking about potential basketball starters for this season. We are a tall team.

Center Dishon Jackson 6’11” (more physical than Aly)
Forward Igor Milicic Jr. 6’10” (hopefully we will see more consistency)
Forward Robert Braswell IV 6’7” (welcome back)
Guard Jackson Threadgill 6’6” (senior leader)
Guard Lu”Cye Patterson 6’2” (love his game)

Not bad. Anybody with different thoughts on the starting lineup?

Anyone else notice we have a new strength and conditioning coach for men’s basketball now? I thought I heard Fearne mention it on the live show and the new guy is listed on the staff page. Patrick Lewis.

Or maybe I missed the conversation about it… been crazy at work.

I’m more excited about basketball than I have been in a minute. If Fearne can coach and the team plays well we just keep him on. If not he dosn’t have a big contract and we can move on at the end of the season.

In my time as a Niners fan we’ve been paying multiple coaches that were no longer coaching the team. Hopefully we are free of that cycle.

We kinda have pillars though - this is the biggest team I can ever remember us putting on the floor.

Can this team run and play the type of defense Fearne wants to play?

Folkes instead of JT.

At the tailgate he said he was worried that we might be too big.

I am curious to see JT floor time. Ron LOVED him even though his production was very spotty.

You read my mind

Agree Folkes should be starting. However, the ball should be in his hands. He is the best player we have and looking forward to him having a breakout year.

Not sure he is the best player we have.

It’s either him or Patterson with what we know right now. One of the new guys could emerge as that guy. I hope anyway, because id hate for our best player to be someone that shoots like 35% from the free throw line.
