clt says we are up to 99 in NET
the bad losses early really hurt
We have two winnable games, though winning on the road is always hard and Tulane can hang with anyone in the league right now. I never love a week off because it almost always seems to work against us. We usually look rusty and flat not rested and ready. Hopefully Fearne changes that.
If however things go our way, we have a legitimate chance to be 8-1 in league play a little over a week from now. Thatβs pretty incredible given the expectations.
There used to be websites where you could play with the #s by changing Ls to Ws and vice versa. Iβd be interested is seeing what our NET was if we had beaten Stetson both times and held on against UCF. 14-5 would look pretty good, and feels a little closer to the caliber of team we are lately.
Based on this graphic, our Quad 2 would improve to 3-0, and our Quad 3 would improve to 3-2 (still bad losses to Liberty and Davidson there).
BTW, that website is: Charlotte - 2024 NET Rankings and Quad Wins
Thatβs probably my favorite individual team NET presentation. Highlights how differently NET treats home and away games.

For anyone too young to remember.
This is true----but interestingly enough, as can be seen in the attached image-----the Cincy guy threw the ball at a fan about 10-12 rows up behind OUR bench as they were exiting the floor going toward the visitor locker room after the game ended.
Smart to put Fearneville in The Land Down Under the clock tower.
clt says the students would be too busy recording tick tocks to throw drinks now. sad
I was at that game. It was great! Iβll never forget Huggins and the Bearcats during the end of that game.
Kenny Satterfield crying is one of my all time favorite Halton memories
I have that photo somewhere, but itβs buried on an old backup hard drive. Havenβt seen it in ages. One of my favorite memories.
Was that also the game KenKay Jones got revenge against the bearkitties for breaking his nose? Had to wear one of those clear face masks the rest of the season. IIRC he went the F off in that game and had close to 20 rebounds. He was on a damn mission.
Satterfield crying was at the CUSA Tournament championship game in loserville. We won.
