Scared to do this, and maybe Iāll think better of it, and delete the post⦠Butā¦
We had 4100 on a Tuesday night game⦠If we do somehow manage to steal a W in New Orleans this Saturday, what kind of crowd does that set us up for in our next game which isnāt until Saturday, February 3rd, at home, vs ECU, possibly on a 7 game win streak? No NFL playoff games that day either.
I am thinking we will easily break 7k for that game. Maybe even fill the house. Halton will be absolutely electric.
Iām thinking more like 6. I thought 7 until I saw the numbers for tonight. Felt like a lot more than 4100 tonight. Atmosphere will be great though even with 6,000.
Thereās just 3 lowers left and the $20.00 center court upper levels are 2/3 gone. Thereās been a dent put in the GA too. It could be an awesome atmosphere.
Random thoughts:
after suffering through some of the other āhome teamā announcing crews on ESPN+ during games, we are extremely lucky to have Bobby R and Jobey announcing for us. They are fair, educated on the other team and as unbiased as a home crew can be. Also, man Jobey has come a long way since he first started the announcing. Pleasure to watch.
Maybe we need a āJobyā thread. LOL. But I do believe they are the most unbiased announcers in the AAC! Good job, guys! And as a non-basketball guy coming to the game way late, they allow me to understand whatās happening MUCH better than the usual Hommies!!!
