Itās going to take more than one year to turn this team around. We are improved from last year, next year will better. Talent wise, we donāt match up with most of our opponents, yet.

Biff basically admitted that a lot of his players lack the character and mental toughness to win at this level, and that he made mistakes in assessing talent, focusing too much on the physical attributes and not enough on character and mental toughness, and specifically made the comment that the quarterback position needed to be upgraded, as a player that has to be difficult to her from your coach

Like Poggi or not, at least he has the balls to say what we are saying about the team. It is not about pillars. He is here to do a job.

If Assistants have 2 yr or multi-year contracts, there is no way Hill is going to spend the money after one year on paying out an assistant contract and signing up a new one for a multi-year deal.

Thatās not fair. Biff was hired on Nov 15th and expected to field a team in 4 months that would be ready to compete against a higher level of competition than a team that won 3 games last year in CUSA. Entire roster turnover. He went after players that he knew, that is what you do when you start a new job. Itās going to take time. What are you guys so pissed about? are you mad at the results or the salesman that convinced you to by the product, because it was his job>? if the latter itās a U problem, if the former, adjust your expectations

My expectation was Gold Standard, and we got that.
My expectation is not to look like total sh!t on offense against middling teams at home.

as opposed to being a ātotal sh!t showā on defense like last year? Why would we be the only program ever that did a complete turnaround in 1 year?
We arenāt any better than last year. Just inept in different ways.

The frustrating thing to me is we donāt look like we are getting any better on offense from week to week, we seemed to finally take a step foward after the Tulsa win and last week against Memphis put up 30 points.
Then we come out this week and go back two steps, it really looks like we play the game on Saturday and donāt practice another play till we play again the next Saturday, itās not like Riceās defense is top 10, they gave up 38 points to 2-9 UConn for goodness sake.
Everything looks so difficult for us on offense, you would think by game 11 the coaches would know our strenghs and actually use them. We need to clean house on offense, I doānt care what kind of contracts they have, hell we arenāt even paying the head coach AAC money so we should have it.

My frustration with the offense is centered around how the qb position was handled. Xavier Williams looked like a very competent young qb when we saw him play last season. They ran him off in favor of Jones who turned out to be completely incompetent. Honestly I think James Foster would have been better than anyone weāve seen play this season and heās sitting at home on his couch. They completely screwed up their evaluation of what we had and what they thought they were bringing in. Cleanup the qb play and this could have been a completely different season.

I really donāt know how you effectively recruit with the results on the field, the suspensions / undisciplined issues, the post game therapy sessions where the Coach says he might not be the man for the job or says he has no answers and the statement today that a lot of you I brought in might be gone because we cannot evaluate talent.
Someone make me understand or feel better about this.

Really the only hope we have is still with the portal, Biff needs to get some guys in that can play offense, and he better keep 3 or 4 in the QB room that know how to play FBS football, having 2 guys all year has killed us.
Miller answers questions as if heās an inept offensive intern that got the position through his old man. The difference between Ozās responses vs Millerās each week present why our offense is so bad

Iām not mad.
Iāve been consistent though that when you are trying to build a culture you can have only so many kids you are taking chances in. Biff likes to give kids third and fourth shots. He is probably realizing now that that doesnāt work. You can have a handful of those kids, You canāt have 1/3 of the roster being those kids.
I never expected this to be a 1 year turn around. It was always going to be multiple years.
The questionable guys seems to be on defense. Our defense is halfway decent. The ānice guysā on offense are untalented and poorly coached.
