Considering the conference upgrade, 4-5 wins would be a successful rebuild season. Imo.
Which teams do we get those extra 1 or 2 wins from to get 4 or 5?? Dont see those opportunities on this schedule.
ECU and FAU both look like they can be got.
Rice, USF, and Tulsa appear a little better but are not juggernauts.
Memphis appears to be a bridge too far.
That being said we could lose them all too. If we lose to Navy we’ll be underdogs in them all. This Navy game is the difference between trying to find a way to backdoor to 6 and trying not to finish last in the conference. If we can’t get it done with a crowd that’s bursting at the seams at home it’s going to be difficult to get more than a win or two the rest of the year.
Navy, fau, ecu
Let’s win out. Open up the offense, dominate navy and start a second half of the season tear.
clt says tickets on the home side midfield are $221 per ticket
If the offense can consistently move the ball and the D can play up to MD and UF levels there are wins to be had, but just not sure the offense has it in them.
Biff really set the bar of expectations for the fanbase too high. I mean I know we all want to win, but flipping a roster and changing the coaching staff, building culture and winning all in one season given the mess we were is a really tall mountain to climb. Would have been an amazing story but was also never really likely.
The season is really about progress. The defense is obviously way better. Between now and next season we need to get the offense figured out - what’s the identity, not just a catch phrase but how do we play in games and who is the QB.
Our opponents records so far:
SC State- 2-3
Maryland - 5-1
Georgia State - 4-1
Florida - 4-2
SMU - 3-2 (1-0 AAC)
Navy - 2-3 (1-2 AAC)
ECU - 1-4 (0-1 AAC)
FAU - 2-3 (1-0 AAC)
Tulsa - 3-3 (1-1 AAC)
Memphis - 4-1 (1-0 AAC)
Rice - 3-3 (1-1 AAC)
USF - 3-3 (2-1 AAC)
Record of previous opponents: 18-9
Record of remaining opponents: 18-20
I still see the next 3 game stretch as the best chance to right the ship. After that, the wins are going to be hard to come by.

Looks like we were in fact defeated by the bye week.
Geezus------WTF?
I work with a student and she said the student allotment went really fast. and that she and her roomie weren’t able to get tickets. It should be a great atmosphere Saturday.
Unless there is a downpour-----because, you know, thats how our luck usually goes.
Our Homecomings are hit or miss - I remember the year we beat UAB, by halftime half everyone was gone. Some years it looks like 30k in the parking lots and only 10k in the stands.
Students have been consistent though and they deserve to see a win in this one.
Forecast seems to say some showers in the morning and ending with some sun by afternoon.
OK, last night Brad P. was showing LOTS of rain in the afternoon and into the evening.
