2023 Baseball Week 11 - At Winthrop (ESPN+); At WKU (Facebook)

Tough one last night. I’m very surprised we only got 3 hits on Winthrop’s mid-week pitching. Our line-up certainly is better than that.

Moving on to the weekend, need to keep winning conference games.

Are we to the point we have to win the tourney yet? Got to on the brink I would think

I don’t think so yet. But need to finish conference strong and win a couple postseason. Also a win vs SC or CC would go a long way

yes, they would------this is why I hate to see us sometimes act like “mid week games don’t matter”. They absolutely DO matter, especially when you are on, or near the “bubble”. If we had picked up just 2-3 more of our “very winnable” mid-week and non-conference games (ie; WInthrop, UNCW, etc.) we’d be in a much better position now for an at-large bid.

Great find, clt. I’d say we are punching above our weight at 114th. Check out that ECU budget. :eyes:

Damn that SEC money!!!

Better than nothing.

Looks like making the jump to a next level program costs about an extra million a year. How much of that budget is from ticket sales at ECU and Wichita State?

I’m sure it’s a factor. I will point out that that both HPU & Elon are pricey undergrads and they are both behind us.

Those SEC numbers are obscene.
