I think North Texas is worthy too but the Mean Green haven’t appeared in any bracketologies, mostly due to a lack of any P6 opponents this season. Plus that 30 point beat down by Saint Mary’s back in November.

All 3 deserve to be in, but will never happen. If we can beat the 2nd best team in the MW on a neutral court, then, those FAU, NT & UAB should be in. Just goes to show how much stronger CUSA was this year

I just laughed when the announcer said Weston just had his first 20 point game ever. That last shot was a tough shot, and I’m not sure what we could expect Patterson to do differently there, he’s not athletic enough / tall enough to cover that move any better. But points earlier in the game could probably have seen some better defense on the guy, some really slow responses to him getting the ball around the arc. That said, the guy should have been called for carrying the ball 90% of the times he dribbled, he basically was cradling the ball with his hand and taking multiple steps on most of his drives.
What I question about the last play was why we didn’t call timeout after they predictably fouled us while bringing it up (they had a foul to give). Set something up for Brice, have Khalifa as a 2nd option, then someone on the wing. Patterson is pretty good at using his body on drives, but the opponents were clearly going to sell out to block him in that situation and they were too tall / athletic for him to protect his shot. A coach needs to draw something up to get the ball to better options with 8+ seconds left.
MT fouls on every rebound, every drive and every loose ball and get away with it, so there should have never last possession shot to win it. We should have shot 15 free throws instead of the 4 or 5 we shot.

If FAU wins tomorrow, CUSA probably only gets 1 bid. This was my 2nd worst scenario.

So much for the too young excuse I heard this year. FAU starts Freshman, Freshman, Sophomore, Sophmore Junior in their starting five. Mays has a strong hand to play at FAU. He can really sit back and be patient and choose where his next coaching stop will be with the team he has built.

Who are the Freshmen that start? They did not have any CUSA FOW honors that I can remember. I do agree they are rather young though.
