EDIT: now delayed to 4PM local time. Meanwhile, we are losing our #1 seed advantage while FAU’s pitcher rests. Hopefully, we get our game played sometime today.
SEC went to Arkansas and they are having the same issues with games postponed from yesterday still not played.
North Texas defeats UAB 3-2. Conference player of the year pops out with 2 outs in the seventh and the tying run on second base.

Pitcher of the year gives up a pair of home runs. Gress works out of bases loaded jam with no runs scoring. Sacco leaves the game after 3 innings pitched. They pitched her all seven innings yesterday with a sizable lead. They should have pitched someone else in the late innings.

We get to play UNT without their umpires this time.
Also, the player and coach of the year are going up against pitcher of the year in the losers bracket.
Theoretically, our game against UNT is not for the championship. Practically, it is. Gress was less than sharp after about the second inning tonight. UNT has a couple of excellent pitchers and a power hitter or two. Hopefully, the extra games they have had to play will take a toll on them.
Calling for a recount on pitcher, player, and coach of the year.
I could not be more pleased for Cory Henderson Hoffler and her performance today. Two dingers and fielding excellence. Boo, of course, was great.

Just turned on UAB-FAU elimination game. UAB about to lose on a hit down the first base line that Krupit (non player of the year) would have stopped for sure IMO. Possibly not the first baseman’s fault, though. Conference coach of the year may have had her positioned incorrectly.
