You have to think after cramping up in Game 1 that Gress will not pitch tonight unless desperately needed. She threw 99 pitches today already. It would really be nice to see Elkins pitch well and hopefully gain some confidence going into next week.
Elkins did fine against MTSU during the regular season. FAU beat us 4-0 when she pitched down there.

Yes, we haveā¦multiple errors that have lead to runs and a grand total of 5 hits over the 2 games so far (13 innings pjayed). Meanwhile, both NT and MT with a multitude of hits. Not impressing the selection committee todayā¦barring a 7th inning rally, us Niners with another disappointment.
And we lose 6-5ā¦outhit 11 to 4 and had 3 errorsā¦lucky to be that close.
What a horrible day. I feel bad for our team. A yearās worth of work gone in a day.

When we are a #1 seed, this should be a moot point. Simply put, WIN.
It seems that the NINER way is to meet expectations when we are expected to suck and not meet expectations when we are expected to dominate.
I guess that is just who we are. Not bashing softball; but NINER athletics in general.

I think we deserve a bid for the body of work over the season, but I just donāt think we will get one.
The hard part is that we beat ourselves, which has been very uncharacteristic of the season.
They might not, but if not, they have only themselves to blame for today. The best teams step up play in the big moments, this team stepped way down in play today.
We had the 4th toughest schedule in the country and won our league.
Lost 2 1-run games in the tournament.
We got left out last year because we were .500 in conference but had a similar RPI. This year we won the league.
