Of course they would say they messed up. Them saying it and you gratutitously saying it are two qualitatively different things. Not sure any of them would use the term âshit the bedâ. though.

Whether they call it crapping the bed or notâŠim sure they would use their own terminology. But I
can promise youâŠevery player on that team has high character, accountability and enough personal pride to openly admit that 4 hits and 3 errors in a win or go home game against MTSU is not acceptable, shouldnât happen and they are better than that.
I know they expect better, demand more out of themselves and and that they are tough enough to admit itâŠfor some reason itâs just the snowflakes here that are getting offended by an honest assessment.
My opinion that they fell short of their capabilities & expectations is MUCH more of a compliment to how good i think they are than your snowflake attitude can even comprehend.
If you donât know the difference between acknowleging your faults yourself and having them pointed out in a crude manner, I canât explain it to you. People of average intelligence and empathy can figure out the difference.

The only ones that have a problem with what I said.
Those here that are âpeople of empathyâ are the ones that got offendedâŠnot the players.
Our players are not snowflakesâŠthey are tougher than that and more than likely agree with me about their performance yesterday.

Some of you are acting like we didnât even show up for the tournament.
We beat the 4 seed to advance to the semifinals. Lost a 1-run game to the 3 seed who had beaten us twice on the year. Then we lost a 1-run game to the tournament champion. Hats off to them. They got hot and ran through the entire field. And if you look, almost every game in this tournament was a 1 or 2 run game. Everything was tight. We didnât make the 1 or 2 plays we needed to make to win this tournament.
We essentially finished 3rd.

So I was wrong when I posted that our matchup with NT was the defacto championship game. I did not realize that the winner of the losers bracket only had to defeat the winner of the winners bracket once, not twice. North Texas must feel cheated by the format since they spiit two one run decisions with Middle Tenn.
YesâŠthat is a terrible rule. Completely eliminates any advantage of being in the Winners bracket and actually weights the advantage to the team coming out of the losers bracket since they were allowed to lose once. I wonder if any other conferences do that tooâŠmaybe they all do.
If itâs a true double elimination tournamentâŠit should extend throughout the entire bracket. Not sure why they do it this wayâŠbut itâs not how a D1 college conference tournament should play out. IMHO.

Itâs a dumb format all the way around. Two double byes. Two byes. A single elimination round. Then double elimination before going back to a winner take all championship. Just go double elimination. Heck, straight single elimination would make more sense than what theyâve got.

Agreed. Didnât think about the absurdity of the byes and the change in format throughout the tournament too. It literally is a clusterf@#$ from beginning to end when you lay it all out like that.

Was it clear to anyone if they are the 2 or 3 seed? I sssume the 3.??? Not that it really matters i guess.
