Ws are always preferable.
Pretty sure Matt had said during pregame that Nika wouldn’t play tonight but just now during post-game with Braswell saying he thought Coach might have played Nika vs G-W.
Didn’t say anything about Bradford, Reiber, or Richart so will take it they were “DNP-Coach’s Decision” for this game.
clt says the "picks up " guy needs a sit down interview with mofo
3-14 FG%

A few things we need to work on:
- More movement on offense when playing against the zone. Both the ball and players.
- Nik Graves needs to pass the ball more instead of looking for his. He missed a lot of open shooters.
- Rolf’s defense
- Layups
I think we can be good, but not sold on it yet.
Take aways from the front row
GW is a solid basketball team
We defended the three very well overall
Rebounding picked up in second half
Our D won this game
Rosado is a very good facilitator and overall player. Needs to make his FTs
Braswell hit big shots
Concerns
Our rebounding
Not sure we have a guy that can get his own shot whenever he wants like young and Davis could.
Folkes played very good D. Forcing his offense a bit too much
Aleks needs to dunk it. And they are all horrible shooters. Can’t win many games with that FG%. Those are my takeaways.
Love Fearne. Such a refreshing hire and really pulling for him to have wild success as our coach. He clearly loves the game and wants to push these guys and doesn’t even hold back on talking about Rosado and what he needs to improve on in the moment while he’s sitting next to him. Has high standards and doesn’t hide them.
I’m really coming around on Fearne. Didn’t love it in the moment, but he’s a stable force, and he clearly knows how to adjust to personnel. I’m not sure how much talent we have this year, but I’ll take what I’ve seen so far.
I’ve got a feeling Nika’s really going to help. We need another scorer.
I trust Fearne to keep making these guys better. There are still going to be some frustrating nights though.
If Fearne coached football, he’d consistently bowl.
I agree whole heartedly with that. The one thing I wasn’t sure about was recruiting.
Our two early signees have me feeling better about that. I think we are gonna be ok on the hardwood.
Yep if Fearne can recruit, we are gonna be fine.
I only saw half the game last night. My biggest complaint is how weak we are in the middle on defense.
We need to add someone like wilson from queens. 7’ elite shotblocker
We had a couple good, slick passes, but for running the “Princeton offense” as coach likes to say, we don’t run enough set plays. We are still setting weak screens like we were under Ron. We moved better, but we need more diversion, and I’d like to see double screens. Drive and dish worked but we didn’t dish enough last night. Need more back door cuts.
Fearne is creating a culture of player development and looks like it is catching on especially for big men. Seeing a lot of players moving up to big time programs. With more success maybe we can keep them and build on that. The team last year took a while to mesh. He knows how to get the most of a team and very crafty. Very unique style that other teams struggle with. Hope it can turn into tournament wins.
Anyone but me notice how “intense” Gardner Webb’s coach was? I hope all that was faked, because if it wasn’t, he’s due soon for a coronary.
