Itâs like 134 individual, but interconnected, soap operas; all happening at the same time.
Are we not entertained?

I donât think he is coming back here. Will be interesting to see what his angle is now.
He better hurry up. Classes started today or last week for most schools.
This seems to be his angle.
I really dislike where college sports are now. I donât begrudge him an opportunity to make a living, but this full on mercenary system is awful. The worst thing possible for fans.
Classes? We donât need no stinkinâ classes!
Do these guys even have to go to classes?
Yes they do if they want to play.
OK. Do they have to pass to get their $$$?
They have to go to real classes here, but what about other colleges? I mean real, not fake just so they can say they are going
Good question, and the answer has to be no in most cases. Think about it. If it was a real class, and a professor was in a situation where if an athlete didnât make a certain grade that athlete would not be eligible. If some big donor had invested a million dollars towards this guys NIL, well, heâs not going to be ruled ineligible for failing some class. If that was the case what an awful position to put that professor in. Really black mail & crime world type threats towards this professor could realistically occur.
Yes, athletes are going to class. Just the way it is.
Max Brown finds a spot with West Virginia.
According to one news source I just read Purdie cannot transfer from Florida to another SEC team. Because they let him out of his commitment.
Looks like that only applies to the spring window. Can see that rule eventually getting litigated out of existence.
Ah interesting.
Iâm watching this space with fascination to see what happens with Purdie.
Does he land somewhere?
Or does he never play ball again?
That sounds crazy I know but when you f with karma, karma can be a bitch.
What exactly would he be getting karma for? Transferring? That seems a little harsh
Maybe committing to a program then backing out after a couple of weeks. I hope he lands somewhere but changing his mind so quickly, even if he was mislead, does not look good.
Does Charlotte have an academic center for Athletes? That was one thing Solich got built at Ohio. That way the students can study there without having to run back to the dorm, or to the library. With lifting and practice, they have a lot more on their plate than most students, so the academic center helps even things some. Itâs also useful for recruiting.
I had biology with Jarvis. He was in class half the time. And that was before all of this NIL madness. My class with Rooney Odom he was hardly ever there. And I like to think we actually held most player accountable.
No way are academics mattering or class attendance a thing right now. If anything itâs less than it ever was.
Yep, I had classes with athletes too. Right now MBB missing first three days of the spring semester.
