2024 49er Football Week 2 - Game #2 @ UNC-CH 9/7 3:30PM ACCN

Exhausted. Many players out. We are a much better team than our record or this score reflect.

Just get to the bus and get home at this point.

They have played tough against a bigger & faster team. The tackling has not been good but a lot of that is due to size and speed of the Holes.

The “we are much better then we look” better show up next week.

Picking up some points in garbage time, but I’ll take it

Get a few OL back so we can control the ball a little, will help the D, and may win a few games this year

Max in a cast

Our OL play was good, that’s a positive. Against a great defensive line too

clt notes

hope max isnt out for the season
purdy is full of talent

We are poorly coached, and the fact that so many guys are getting hurt is a reflection on our S & C

So Chapel Hell had guys get hurt as well.
Pointing at strength and conditioning is laughable. Max smashed his hand on the ground. King got chopped. DB hurt his trying to make a play.
Hate the result but calling out coaches for players getting hurt is just asinine.

There were more Chapel Hill players hurt than Charlotte players

JMU was losing to Gardner Webb 3-0 at half, apparently.

Was told that they’re up 7-3 now.

Purdie is going to have to start next weekend.

Max with a thumb/wrist injury isn’t a S&C issue. Although looks like we lost Dez, Max and Kellman today

Quick observation from being at the game.

We never looked like we would win, but i never felt the game getting out of control. I thought we looked much better coached this week, just a bit outmatched. Purdie looked super solid. Mack is that guy. I think we have a lot to build off of. I think/hope as the season progresses, we’ll be kicking ourselves for how the JMU game turned out.

Agreed with a lot of this.We never looked like we would get totally embarrassed.

Purdie needs to be taught how to play QB. He locks onto his first read and doesn’t always make the right decision with the ball when the play breaks down, but man does he have the physical gifts. Can spin the ball a mile, and has wheels, and that 6’5 stature in the pocket.

With all the money they have at UNC-CH why can’t they install better scoreboards? It was hard to following the down/time looking at the ribbons. Also, that was the sleepiest football stadium I’ve ever visited. I saw multiple people yawning in the 3rd quarter. Everyone was very nice. The park and ride worked well.

I’m a life long CH hater but glad I went to the game and got to see generations of NC tax money that has been pumped into that place.

Had similar takeaways. People were super nice. Guy in box behind me and my buddy brought our kids frozen yogurt near halftime.

There was a good group of greek life charlotte students in 203 acting belligerent and chased away from UNC CH fans. I didnt see or hear enough but it seemed they werent doing the best representing our university.
