2024 49er Football Week 2 - Game #2 @ UNC-CH 9/7 3:30PM ACCN

Same. It’s all about tailgating and seeing old friends. The game itself is just a reason to do it.

Yep. If I lived and died by Niner sports I would have died a long time ago. Still proud to be alumni of our university. There is a lot to be proud of. If some aren’t I am sure there will be plenty of “winner bandwagons” that can be jumped on. I will be there Saturday. Hope we look better.

Heels #7 in Yahoo’s Week 1 Top Ten:

Agree with Hootieb on this one. The game is secondary but we still want to win.

BTW - has anyone heard anything about where the Niner Tailgate will be located. Parking stinks at CHeat and I hope the tailgate is near the stadium.

CLT Tailgate at the soccer/lacrosse stadium adjacent to Kenan.

I have not been to CHeat in probably 20 years.

Anyone kind enough to share some recommendations for parking? Treat me like a newbie because I don’t remember much at all. Addresses would be great.

Parking is almost non-existent. Lots of shuttle buses though. Your best bet is to park outside the school and shuttle into the stadium and walk the short distance to Dorrance.

I attended there for a year and there
Is so little parking for anyone at anytime. I had to park my car at a friends apartment so I had a way to drive home.

Thank you!

There’s a group of Niners that have bought passes for the Hibbard lot. Planning to tailgate prior. :call_me_hand:

Get a room at the Carolina Inn, really nice hotel on campus and you can walk. Also great bar at hotel, also walk to Franklin St.

Take the Piedmont to Durham and Uber over.

I’m gonna put a case of beer on ice and watch in my garage. Thought about going but just can’t get excited enough to make the trip

Let’s hope our offense can settle down and our defense doesn’t give up the huge plays. Let’s try to hold Omarion Hampton to under 100 yards and make Harrell beat us with his arm. He should feel some pressure starting the home opener! Maybe we get some players back and our coaches clean up the mental lapses.

P.s we need to also punt the ball more than 3 yards!!!
