Yeah, I am going through this same struggle. Tired of all the losses.
This weekend is my wifeās birthday and while she puts up with a lot of my Niner fandom, but she wouldnāt put up with that. I have been to a game at Keenan before, good luck with the parking and pack your sun screen!
Every time I have been on that accursed campus I have flashbacks to how we got screwed in that 1991 NCAA soccer tournament game where we were clearly the better team. It was gross enough that it happened again in 2011, albeit in Birmingham. Havenāt been able to force myself to head back to that place willingly, at least not often. But I was gonna do it for Biff.
After that JMU game thoughā¦ Ugh. Itās tough.
@NinerWupAss has a good philosophy - just donāt play them. We will never ever get a fair shake against them. You have to beat them by 10+ just to have a chance for the refs to let it happen.
I also agree with @Nineradvocate - if there is a chance to get boned by the Godās of Sport- a Charlotte head to head vs CH is the perfect canvas for Picasso level fuckery in their favor.
I am there this Saturday but it is a much shorter drive coming from Wake Co.
I also will be in Indiana in 2 weeks. I have never been to Bloomington even though I had plans to be there the night Plav hit the winning 3 but I balked with the snowstorm.
Same here, trying to muster up the enthusiasm to go.
Gotta keep believing that one day we will get a break and
things will turn around.
" Is that the definition of insanity"?
Must be, because we are all insane to emotionally invest in this
program.
To be fair, the non-calls on the Pass interference and touchback last Saturday were game changers and we just canāt overcome those kinds of plays.
We need a couple of really big breaks to have a chance Saturday and thats probably not going to happen.
I have issues with the coaching, but is it the coaching when a kid makes a great stop and then pile drives the guy into the ground, or running into the kicker deep in their territory??
We just do some stupid stuff sometimes. Could have picked up another personal foul for Taunting, on a great stop, from standing over the JMU guy after the tackle.
Yes discipline is on the coach, but these are D1 football players.
Looking at some of these lots and the pay ahead. They all say arrive at 2:30 and leave by 7:30. Anyone know how strict this is? Or able to arrive before 2:30?
Iām going to enjoy my Saturday and try not to check my phone till after 10pm. If we shock the world, Iāll be ecstatic. If we do what is expected, well, at least I didnāt waste any unnecessary stress over it.
