Biff won 2 FBS games all season last year …and has yet to win 1 this year so far in 3 tries…that’s a combined 2-12.

Given that we now know Army and Navy are probably the class of the AAC, the Niners picking up 5 wins to get to 6 Ws not totally out of the question. Of course, lose vs Rice and pretty much not going to happen.

With Denver winning today and the Panthers having risen from the dead in Sin City, feeling optimistic about football!

Looks like Navy, Army, Tulane, USF & Memphis could be competing for the conference Championship game, but of course very early. Tulane/USF play this weekend.

We need to get better fast to get
to those 6 wins, this weekend would be a good time to start. We are last in conference in yards given up on Defense, in scoring Defense as well. We are last in points scored as well, at 17.

We’ll know how many winnable games we have left this year after Saturday. Rice is a game you’ve got to win to avoid a 2-10, 3-9 year. They are not very good but unfortunately neither are we so far. Fingers crossed we can find a way.

The defensive regression has been the most surprising and disappointing part of the season thus far.

Agreed. I am hoping some of it’s due to the talent we’ve played so far this year. It’s concerning how bad we look on defense. I thought we would be really good on that side of the ball. They talked about it some the first hour this morning on Mac and Bone.

Yeah it almost feels like Healy never left. Except we at least had really good offenses back then.

It’s the chunk plays that are killing us. We give up too many 3rd and longs and way too many deep passing plays. We recruited about 30 DBs the last few years. It’s baffling that we still struggle to cover anybody.

Our pass rush needs to improve too.
