Sad that we did not bring in temporary seats for at least this game. Missed opportunity to recruit new fans and give Charlotte more exposure.

Agree. And return on investment.
But, imagine the atmosphere with a maximum # of temporary seats made available. More people on campus. More traffic stirring. This builds excitement.
Schools like us have to seize these opportunities.
clt wonders how many we can actually hold. will we need more restrooms with the expansion?
I asked someone in the ticket office about temporary seats for ECU a few weeks ago and they said they couldn’t do temporary seats now because they have a contract to do the Modelo premium seating area for 2 or 3 years. I guess that takes up too much space for it to be worth bringing in temp seats. And that could have just been a better sounding answer than it costs too much.

The team needs to show out for them, lest they become EZU recruits.
It’s a monster game, get to 3-3 and we have a shot at a decent season. The basketball game with ECU last year was so loud my ears were hurting. If we can get this one it gives us momentum and should spur fan engagement the remainder of the year. A bowl becomes a realistic possibility.
We’ll have to play much better than we have though to get the W.

It is not in the DNA of Charlotte athletics to proactively promote football. Think of how long it took for us to even get a team. Bringing in temporary seating cannot be that expensive especially when you could sell tickets for $50+ and the ancillary revenue generated (parking & concessions).
Could temp seats can be raised above the Modello section? Perhaps recessed back slightly.
Did we not anticipate a possible increase in demand? Contingency plan?
