I think fau still has several core players eligible to return.
Almost all of them return
why wouldnât FAU be worried that the P5/4 will come in and grab their players like we are?
So regarding Temple let me get this straight: their plan was to shave points all during the regular season because they figured it didnât matter? And now all of a sudden theyâre playing for real in the AAC tournament? Sounds about right.
Temple wins. Didnât look tired. Didnât look worried. Looked energized. Looked methed up? Amazing.
That thought crossed my mind after they beat SMU, but it just sounds too wacky to be true. Could be.
I want to see Stetson vs Temple in a play in game. ![]()
So Temple wins only 5 total conference games this season; and with a win tomorrow, they match their total wins within just a few days.

Either they found a different gear in the tourney or something really smells in Philly with their regular season play.
Well, I didnât say my opinion was informed ![]()
Didnât someone post that they were 7000:1 odds to win the AAC tournament or something stupid like that.
Wish I would have put a few bucks down on them.
Uab up 43-27 at the half. Makes me sick weâre not in this game. We were supposed to be in this game!! ![]()
UAB is not that good. Theyâre going to be like a 16 seed.
Really wish USF won if we werenât going to. Believe that gives us the best opportunity to win some tournament games along with FAU.
Theyâre not going to give an AAC team a 16 seed. The size and talent level of aac programs is more a threat to the 1 seeds they want to protect than a conference winning low major team.
Uab will be a 13 or 14 seed.
Not sure if a Texas team would have been in semis or finals would have made a difference, but the people who bought tickets and dressed as gray seats out shined all the other tournaments. What was there, maybe 1000 - 1500 actual attendees???
Iâve never seen attendance so poor at a tournament of this level. If they want fans to come they need to put it where people can get to it in a dayâs drive. Pathetic.
Top of the to-do list for new Commish.
Put tournament at destination spot.
Nola, Nashville, South Florida, I would go to Vegas.
Orlando. Anywhere but Texas. That is old strategy for the AAC.
Canât put it somewhere with a reasonable drive for the conf fans because the conference isnât made up of geographically logical schools.
I do agree that at least putting it somewhere fun would help, but honestly I donât think it matters that much. Attendance is probably always going to be a challenge.
clt says vegas is the only option
