FAU was our first AAC series this year. It was a tight series with two 1-run games in a DH, and then we run-ruled them in Game 3.
Game 1 was a 4-3 loss in which we made 2 critical errors leading to 2 unearned runs.
Game 2 was a 10 inning loss that had the controversial review of the play at the plate. We lost by 1 in extras.
Game 3 was a run rule victory, which is important because Chase Carson pitched that game and will likely start today. He allowed 1 ER over 7 strong innings. Hope he can repeat that today.

I noticed on Twitter that Pirate fans are moaning that the suspension might hurt them more since it’s in post season play. Doesn’t seem to be bothering them so far today, as they are winning 6-1 in the early innings.
They also also are calling out the AAC for taking this action and saying that EZU should seek a home elsewhere. I would refer them to two occasions when Charlotte soccer has had star players suspended during NCAA play. Once was in the AAC and the other was in CUSA. I’d also argue than having a key player out is worse than having a coach out in the short term.

ECU runner slid into 2B with spikes up, injured WSU 2B. Runner ejected and batter out at 1B to complete double play. Cliff comes out to argue and is ejected immediately. Play was reviewed and confirmed.

Thanks. “I don’t think there was anything malicious there” The fielder still had one good leg, so I don’t see the problem.
Cliff had to have used a magic word or two there, but I can’t imagine that from a guy who posts as many Bible verses as he does

If this ECU game goes on much longer, I’m going to get to watch the entire Duke softball game!
clt says ecu is desperate at this point, we have passed them by in every sport except for baseball

I was spiked in HS. That is a dirty play and well deserved ejection.
