That is a curious choice. Batting a flat .100
You might be right about the play in right field, but it turns out not to matter since we couldn’t get the third out anyway.
True…but that play felt like such a momentum changer.
I’m so over playing games there. We’re just hosting parties for other fan bases. End it.
Somewhere it is written in the stars that we will not win a big game in front of our fans.
Goolsby should have never been put in that situation.
Goolsby was either going to walk it off and hit a ball into Romere Bearden Park or strike out. There was nothing in between.
Didn’t we beat #4 South Carolina at that stadium last year?
We definitely did.
Now, Mr. Bo will back me up on this…I’ve been out on the Truist games for awhile. Even when we win we’re overrun by one group or another. I know I’m in the minority, but I’m not a fan of it.
I was there, and I remember beating Georgia a few years ago.
Just seems to be so rare.
Sounds like Panthers & Hornets games. At least the experience is consistent in uptown
clt says this game experience was bigly better than kannapolis. rumour is that people are still in the food line there
You aren’t wrong, TP.
Yes. We used to get seats right behind home plate for these games. We had to move to behind our dugout because we were tired of other teams’ fans surrounding us and talking the whole game.
We just don’t have the fanbase (yet?) that will show up and overrun the ballpark like some of these more established fanbases. It is frustrating that our players have to play as the visiting team in our own city.
Winning more and winning big would solve this problem and more, not only in baseball, but in other sports as well.

You’re certainly not wrong about our fan base, but one thing about these uptown games is that whoever we play is always a “somewhat local” school who normally have a large number of fans living in the Charlotte area. This one game for them (each season) is the easiest game for them to attend for their team. Meanwhile, Charlotte has 35+ home games each year for fans in the area and the uptown games are the toughest to attend for most of us. We have 30+ other opportunities to watch our team in Charlotte, while the opponents only normally get 1 in the area. Just a thought.
We had a great hat promo last night, but we didn’t promote it until 24 hours before the game. And then there was only 1 mention of it.
clt says the club area was 50-50 fans
one thing that didn’t help the look was that the knights staff all had orange shirts
Agree on the opposing fanbase.
Special games like this will always draw a lot more
of the opposing teams fans. I don’t really have a problem with that.
Just need to win more of these.
I actually thought our turnout yesterday was pretty good all things considered. And a lot of students were there
Way fewer people at Wichita State baseball than softball
Niners lead 1-0
