This. It probably doesn’t matter in the era of the almighty but I hope they get known for being c–kblocking jerks anyway.

Agree on landscape, but if you can’t play immediately then you are not getting the bag. Maybe some schools will start to see this pattern with UNC and not recruit their kids and the kids will see this pattern as well and not go their to begin with. But hey, I am a big conspiracy theory guy.

Great response! I got there in 1970. These were leaders! Not suggesting the line stopped there. I witnessed many leadership moments…mostly behind the curtains. E.g., Watched a prominent local politician ushered out of the Chancellor’s office after attempting to get his non-qualifying son admitted.

I don’t know what the issue is but I really hope this get’s out in the recruiting community that UNC makes it really hard to transfer to another school and play immediately, unless they want you to leave. He’s a redshirt Jr now, I don’t know if he will get this year back. If this turns out to be something like UNC needs to clarify a class on his transcript or something and they are dragging their feet, the UNC System Board should do something

Per Hunter Bailey:

Charlotte’s second-year head coach has called both North Carolina head coach Mack Brown and athletic director Bubba Cunningham regarding Conley’s eligibility, with the transfer safety currently being marked as academically ineligible by the Tar Heels. The 49ers are pushing for Conley to be switched to academic probation, allowing him to return to the field, but a hearing date has been set for Nov. 29 — the penultimate day of the regular season.

Couldn’t this just be that he’s not academically eligible?

And he can play next year if he makes grades.

This whole things smells like BS, Mack Brown is on record saying that he doesn’t want to play other non ACC schools. Now they are holding up his playing privilege’s when we have a back to back with them? com on mannnnn
