This is a Fan’s forecast, but I have to say, I’d like to see something like this happen. What would be even more incredible is if Boise somehow eclipsed either the ACC or Big 12 champs in the rankings and got a bye and a home game.
There is a reason the refs are fixing Miami games, and why Boise won’t move up into he polls despite continued winning and the likely Heisman. This is it.

I may be in the minority here, but I think Houston would have done very well here at Charlotte.
I agree with Hootie that he is a douche but he has been a winner. I think he jumped on the wrong horse to ride. He saw only $$$$$$.
I wanted him at the time, but in hindsight he wasn’t a program builder. He did better maintaining the program inertia started by other coaches.

Dan Mullen wouldn’t be terrible either, but Clark is the one that scares me. If we fired Poggi he would be on my short list if he is healthy enough
Vannini also mentioned Clark, as well as head coaches Tyson Helton of WKU, Bryant Vincent of UL Monroe, and Tre Lamb of ETSU. Among assistants he included LSU OC Joe Sloan - an ECU alum and former player - who coached Commanders rookie QB Jayden Daniels, 2023 Heisman winner.
Tyson Helton is another strong candidate.
