I won’t be optimistic until I see us play this lineup against decent competition.
From what I understand we were down 2 players last night too.

I’m not making any bold proclamations about this season. I think we will at least be pretty good. Hopefully better than that
It was terrible competition, but I feel after seeing the players there is no way we will be as bad as last year. I think that is a safe bet.
Yeah, butler(who might start) and gomez(who probably rs or plays very little)
I actually agree 55.
Indiana St has a 7’-1” center
Melvin was a great player, very versatile, from Miami?
Drafted by the Bulls at the same position as their first rounder as a contingency in case he didnt work out.
, is that correct?
Yep, our MJ from Miami was taken by the Bulls in the 4th round of the same 1984 NBA Draft that saw that “other MJ” taken 69 spots earlier at #3.
Early season is a bunch of no-name schools we haven’t played in 50 years or so. I guess the hope is to have a winning streak to launch into conference games
49er1, those photos are fantastic! Really brings back the memories. I’m probably in some of those. And see John Kilgo’s radio broadcast setup too!
Hoping I have these players right:
00 - Melvin Johnson
11 - Donnie Koonce
15 - Phil Ward
25 - Lawrence Furlow
42 - Rueben McDaniel
50 - Roland VanDenBergh
clt likes the backspin on the jumpers. we are so back.
Based on the exhibition game and the highlight, are we going to have to prepare ourselves that our 7-2 center is going to be taking 3’s?
, good to be prepared.
In all fairness, he only took one and he was wide open. Mudang took 2 or 3
And Bonke nailed it too !
clt says this aint no “helliwell for 3?” situation
