We certainly didn’t play our best ball this weekend, but we did enough when it mattered, and we got a huge sweep. I have a feeling we are going to have to grind out every game like that the rest of the way.

Nice to see Bayne back, but I’m not sure what the heck he was doing as a baserunner. He did get pulled after the play at the plate, but not sure if that was injury or performance related.

It is nice to be sitting in 2nd place with 1 week to go. We are going to have to fight to hang on to that spot though.

Yeah, this coming weekend will be tough, as Tulane has a LOT to play for as well. As for that baserunning by Bayne, it was a head-scratcher. I understand that he was waiting to be sure the catch was NOT made by the RF, but he could have still been off the bag a lot more than he was and still gotten back to tag if he needed to. When it happened, it seemed to be a big momentum killer for us.
