We will likely be facing ECU transfer Zach Root this weekend. We didn’t fare well against him in Greenville, so hopefully better results in Fayetteville.

Arkansas bounced back from its 3-2 loss against Kansas State with a pair of ranked wins over No. 24 TCU and No. 25 Michigan to polish off a 3-1 week. The Razorbacks on Saturday rode a strong start by lefthander Zach Root (5 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 10 K) and lights-out relief appearances from Landon Beidelschies (2.2 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 1 BB, 0 K) and Christian Foutch (1.1 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 2 BB, 1 K) to victory. In Sunday’s finale, multi-hit and multi-RBI performances from Wehiwa Aloy (4-for-4, 2 RBIs) and Charles Davalan (2-for-5, 2 RBIs) paced the Hogs’ offense. Arkansas this week heads back home for four games at Baum-Walker Stadium.

8-1 Win over Longwood. Took care of business.
Pitching did well. Jones didn’t start as stated in the game notes, Perez did. We used 4 pitchers and looked good overall. Only 1 walk & 10 Ks. Scattered 5 hits.
Offense had the one big inning that was more than enough, but left 13 on base the rest of the game. I’d love to see us start capitalizing on those opportunities a little more consistently.
